Hola,
This week was full of ups and downs. We got a few new investigators
but nobody is on date yet for baptism☹️ We teach so many lessons
though during the week which is good and the members do a really good
job at helping out. We taught this investigator named Emilisia and we
tried teaching her the plan of salvation but she had no clue what we
were talking about still lol. Then we saw her again and since we've
been teaching her, which has been for a while, she hasn't read or
prayed or done anything to progress. I invited her to be baptized and
she just didn't know. She said us visiting her was a substitute for
church. She thinks she doesn't have to go to church because we're
teaching her lol. It was sad but all we can do is invite and help.
The Serrano family in our ward is so awesome. They had us over for
dinner and the wife Camilla and the husband Siergio told me their love
story. They speak in English and Spanish so I can actually understand
them ๐
Wednesday I lost my wallet...we went to get froyo and it wasn't in my
bag and I was freaking out. I thought someone had stolen it or
something! But Thursday we text Camilla and ask if she's seen it at
her house, and it was! Their little boy Lucas took it out of my bag
when we ate dinner at their house haha. I was so happy๐ Also we found
2 streets signs that cross that say Scott St and Mormon St. It's
pretty awesome I took a picture with it ๐๐ผ Friday night our dinner
appt. got cancelled and so we went to In-N-Out finally! It was so good
I haven't had it in years. We get fed dinners mostly every night
so we don't go out that much. Saturday we just tried to find a bunch
of people. We talked to this elderly gentleman named Carlos and he was so
difficult to understand. Mostly all of the elderly Spanish people
we talk to I have a hard time understanding what they're saying.
That's probably the most difficult thing I'm experiencing here is just
really trying to understand the Spanish people. I've been talking a
lot more in all of the lessons so I'm happy about that. My companion
thinks I'm super awesome and just really good at everything ☺️ she's
really nice and awesome and we tell each other stories and have a lot
of fun all the time!
This week definitely went by really really fast...but I don't mind
that ๐๐ผ☺️ So a few things HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JORDAN! Can't
believe you're 18๐๐ Hope you had a great bday yesterday and you
enjoy the package I sent you. If any of you send me letters make sure
it says my full name Hermana Cassidy Scott and you can send them to:
8267 Deseret Ave.
Fair Oaks, CA 95628
Thanks everyone and I hope you have a fantastic week. Please keep our
investigators Alejandro and Elsa in your prayers. They really need it!
Thanks and Mucho Amor!
Hermana Scott❤️
