Hola familia y amigos,
This week went by SO fast! It's crazy how much time goes by! It's
seems like we just had p-day. I had a pretty great week this week
though! Our zone decided at district meeting that we are setting a
goal of 10 Baptisms! It's a crazy number for us but we have the faith
that both districts will have 5 baptisms each for July! I know it'll
happen! We have so many potentials who are ready to enter into the
waters of baptism!👍🏼😊
This coming week is our last week of transfers! This transfer has
gone by SO fast! It's insane to me haha. We'll find out this week what
will happen to me and Hermana Woodbury. I really want to stay here in
Rancho Cordova and I think I will...but president always does
something different every transfer so we will see!
So every day last week we had a lesson with our investigator Manuel.
He knows a lot about different religions and is really nice! He's also
super funny and he makes us laugh...he's one of our favorites for
sure! But, we did invite him to be baptized July 23 and he basically
said no. He still feels like he doesn't know enough. That's what they
all say really. We've been having that same problem with José
Trinidad. He's a really great guy who loves to learn about religion
but when we invited him to be baptized he says that he doesn't know
enough. He's gone through many Hermanas and has been taught for a
while...since last summer! We had Hermano Bolaños, our ward mission
leader, come with us to a lesson with him on Saturday. It went really
well and Hermano Bolaños did a great job at explaining things to him.
We also got to teach the part member family the Andasole's. They're a
really cute family and the dad loves talking! The whole rest of the
family is so quiet! Haha. We taught them the Restoration and it went
super well. They are inviting us back this Saturday to make Papusas
with them and eat dinner at their house!😊 I love cooking with the
Spanish culture it's so fun! They also came to church on Sunday and
everyone in our branch did an awesome job of greeting them! It was a
good day for them!
Yesterday I gave my talk in sacrament meeting about Charity!❤️ I was
a little nervous but when I got up there everything seemed normal!
Hermana Woodbury recorded some of it so I'll add it so you can listen
to my Spanish!😝 Also yesterday for dinner at Hermana Limas's house we
made Floutas with the Spanish elders! It was so fun! I feel like a
true Mexican now that I know how to make Floutas!❤️❤️ They're probably
my favorite thing to eat here now. Yesterday we also had team ups with
the STL's. I got to go with Hermana Stout and we had an AMAZING lesson
with Elsa! She hasn't been doing so good and what we taught her just
helped her realize what she needs to do to change her life. She's an
awesome investigator who really wants to change! I love her and her
family❤️
Something I really realized and recognized this week is how much I've
improved as a missionary. I'm on my last week of being trained and I
can just feel how much I've changed! It's crazy! I've also realized
that my Spanish is so much better! Listening to my talk made me
realize how different I sound haha😂 I've learned a lot over these
past 11 weeks here in the field. This Saturday will be my 4 month
mark!😱😆 Time is flying by! I'm so happy to be here...I love the
California, Sacramento mission ❤️. I really hope you all had a
wonderful week! Please pray for our goal of 10 baptisms for next month
so that we can find those elect investigators who are ready to enter
into the waters of baptism! Love you all and talk to you next week!

Hello! I had a pretty good week...lots of knowledge I gained from
great lessons and inspiring people. So yesterday we had Zone
Conference and that's why I'm emailing today instead of Monday...so
today is p-day for me😊
Here's what happened this week...
-We found a cute kitten playing in someone's yard as we were
finding...it was so sweet❤️
-Had a great lesson with the part member family the Andasole's.
Hermana Solorzano came with us and we taught the gospel of Jesus
Christ. Really awesome lesson!
-Set a "zone vision" before district meeting...its United We Baptize
haha. A lot of missionaries don't like the zone visions because they
never help at all.
-Me and Hna. Woodbury did a role play in front of our district about
working with members.
-Had a great lesson with Angelica, Fatima and their friend Douglas. We
taught the Restoration to them and they liked it a lot. We're gonna
see them again this week
-Taught our new investigator Manuel 3 times this week! He's awesome!
We told him to watch meet the Mormons on Netflix and we got to watch a
little of it with him. He really liked it!
-Finally had Rita's for the first time in my life! So good!❤️
-Invited Cesely and Amaris to be baptized July 2nd...they're so excited!
-Had stake conference with Larry R. Lawrence from the quorum of the
seventy! It was a really good stake conference and I learned a ton.
-Got to teach Maria about the Restoration finally!
-Had a lesson with Jose Trinidad about word of wisdom because he likes
to drink coffee...he says he's gonna try to be better!
-We had dinner and a lesson with Hermana Limas and the Solorzanos and
it was really good! We talked about eternal families and they're
really sad and started to cry because they want to be so bad but they
don't know what happened to Hna. Limas husband🙁 It's really sad.
-Had a great conversation with Hermano Solorzano about my life and the
east coast because he lived in Boston for awhile. He's from Guatemala
and he told me my Spanish is amazing and was surprised that I've only
been out 3 1/2 months! So cool!
-Zone Conference was just mind blowing!!! Elder Larry R. Lawrence came
with his wife and spoke to us. They talked about doctrine and all that
cool stuff. Sometimes I can't comprehend the things that they talked
about because it's so detailed lol.
So, overall a great week! Lots of cool stuff happened. I learned a
lot especially yesterday at the zone conference. Elder Larry R.
Lawrence talked about sacrifices...and it made me think about maybe
somethings I need to change in my life as a missionary to be a really
great missionary. We all can make sacrifices and that's how the Lord
is going to see our faith...through the sacrifices we make. Whether
it's not drinking soda, not watching tv on Sunday, not focusing too
much on the media or whatever it is...we can all make sacrifices if we
have faith in our savior Jesus Christ, because he made the biggest
sacrifice of all! He suffered for all of us and all our sins. I love
this gospel so much! We shouldn't hide the knowledge that we have of
this gospel...we should share it with everyone! There's a scripture in
Luke 22:32 that talks about conversion and how we should share that
with others. We also need to Gather Israel...our brothers and sisters
are waiting for us! Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
Hope you all had a great Father's Day too! Adios!

Wow...what a week! Time is seriously flying by so fast! Only 3 weeks left in this transfer. Life is good here. The weather was pretty nice this week, around the 90's so it wasn't too hot. A lot went on this week!
Last Monday was fun! I was in a trio with Sister Cundick and Sister Davis because all of our companions went on the Coloma trip with president. Our mission president takes some missionaries every p-day to a cool historic place in Coloma. I won't have to go till next year but they say it's super fun! So it was fun being with other sisters for a day. Our zone also played volleyball together...that's always super fun!
Tuesday was a good day but so many people cancelled or weren't there for their appointments! A girl who got back from her mission a while ago went with us to teach Maria and we invited her to be baptized! She said yes too so that was awesome. Then later on we had exchanges! I got to stay in Rancho Cordova and Hermana Thomson stayed with me. I got to drive!!!!! It was weird after 3 months but I liked it. We drove to Folsom to see Lupe but she wasn't there! So we rescheduled with her. We did meet a new family who the bishop wanted us to meet. They are so cute! The mom and dad are recent converts and none of the kids are members...so part member family!! We are so excited about them!
Wednesday we still had exchanges and we went to Habitat. We did blinds the whole time haha. Then we had some other people that we found. Then exchanges ended and I learned a lot from Hermana Thomson. She's awesome. We forgot to take a picture though!
next time! She was telling me what she thinks is gonna happen next transfer. So exciting! 2 Hermanas are coming next transfer so I might be training ah so crazy! I'm excited to fine out in a few weeks.
Thursday was district meeting and we did a lot of role plays in inviting people to be baptized and made a goal of inviting 2 people every day to be baptized! And guess what I did after that meeting? I invited 2 random people to be baptized!!
it was awesome! I wasn't nervous or anything it just came right out when I talked to them. Pretty sweet day!
Friday we had a good day. We had dinner with the Solorzanos and the Spanish elders were there too, they had to eat outside though. It was fun! Then our district had a blitz!! That's where other missionaries go in your area and try to find some investigators for you. So usually it's just one pair of missionaries, but our whole district plus the zone leaders and the STL's were there!! 6 pairs of missionaries...it was awesome!! We found 4 new investigators that night with the help of everyone! Our district is awesome️!!!!
Saturday was just an amazing day!
️ we had our baptism for Andre!! It was so great! Such a special day for him. Also the elders had 2 getting baptized too so our branch had 3 on Saturday! It was a miracle day for sure. We also had a lesson with Lupe and her brother. It was really good and her brother learned a lot. He's pretty awesome too.
Sunday was a good day. Andre and the other 2 kids got confirmed during sacrament. We got to eat with the guys who always have us eat their food. It was pretty good. It's always fun when we go over there because they talk about funny things. We also had a lesson with a new investigator named Manuel. He's really cool and speaks Spanish and English. He always tells us that he believes in aliens and ghosts though, he's a funny guy.
Today for p-day we went to Old Sacramento! It's the cutest place ever! It's like and old western town with a bunch of cool little stores and restaurants and fun stuff. It's right by the river too and they have boats to ride. It's so cute we had a fun time! All of us sisters went together. I definitely want to bring my family there if I come back to visit!
Alright, hope you all are doing well! Missionary life is good. The work is progressing and I'm loving this area more and more every day. I don't want to leave it just yet. Hope you have a good week! Love you all!
