Hola,
This week was LONG! Holy cow we had a lot of appointments and just
everything...we were very busy this past week...which is Awesome! We
have 2 investigators on date for July 30th. One of them, Enmanuel
Andasol might get his date pushed back a little bit because the family
hasn't gone to all three hours of church yet. But, he does have a
desire to be baptized so we're excited for him! 👍🏼😄
Our other investigator on date is a new and his name is Luis. He was a
self referral from Mormon.org and he wanted missionaries to come over
to his house! So we did and had a great first lesson with him on the
Restoration. He asked many great questions and we invited him to be
baptized July 30th and he totally excepted it! He HAS that desire to
be baptized which is amazing. We have another lesson with him tonight.
Also, he came to all of church yesterday and really enjoyed it! He
definitely is an awesome investigator and we are excited for him.
So some of our other investigators have been good, they're slowly
progressing but I see the desire that they have to change. Like Manuel
Estrada, he's been busy with a lot of work lately, but Saturday night
he took us out to dinner to a Korean mall place right in Rancho
Cordova. We've been wanting to check it out for a while but we finally
got to see what's inside. The food was really yummy though. It was a
really cool place! I think we're gonna go today too for pday. Manuel
is definitely slowly progressing but he's such a good guy who has that
desire to change...he just needs to go to church and be taught more.
Lately this week we got a lot of member present lessons! It's been
great having our members come out with us to help us in la obra
misional (missionary work). Our branch has been really good recently
in helping us, so it's been nice.
This mission is going well and I'm grateful for the lords hand in
helping us find his children every single day. I love this area and
the work. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve here in
Sacramento.
Amen.
This is my testimony of this gospel. I love it so much and I'm
grateful for it everyday. Love you all! Adios!

Hola,
This week was seriously a MIRACLE week! Me and Hermana Justiniano saw
so many miracles this past week. It was unbelievable. This transfer is
gonna be so fun!!👍🏼😄
So we had team ups on Saturday with our STL's and I went with Hermana
Vergary and she's so sweet! I love her! We found 2 new investigators
and one of them, Bruno, we just saw outside and he just had us teach
him the whole restoration outside! It was awesome! He's super solid
and such a good guy. The other sisters ended up finding 2
investigators as well! So we got 4 new that day. Miracles!!!! All
together we found 5 new investigators this week. So awesome. Saturday
night out investigator Manuel took us to dinner and it was a good talk
with him. We talked about the word of wisdom and we didn't even commit
him to keeping it and he said that he would change his life to obey
it! He's super awesome. But, he's been busy lately with work so he
hasn't been able to meet with us lately.
Sunday was a really great day! The Andasol family came for sacrament
😊😊 Then during relief society we checked the phone and Elsa called
us. She was supposed to come to church because Saturday we had a
lesson with her and it was so great. So yeah she couldn't come because
she got locked out of her house. But, although Satan tried to stop
her, she ended up walking to church anyways and coming for the last
hour!! She hasn't been to church in so long! She's taking those steps
to showing her faith little by little. Also Sunday night we had an
AMAZING lesson with The Andasol family and the Valims came to it as
well. We invited the son, Esmanuel to be baptized and he excepted! So
awesome! That family is so great and the spirit was so strong in that
lesson.
We have a lot of stuff going on This week which is so awesome. I
think Hermana Justiniano is helping out our branch and our area so
much! I have seen so much change, GOOD CHANGE, in our area in the past
week! I love it. The lord blesses us when we are diligent and
persistent. I'm grateful for the work so much and I'm loving my
mission every single day. The sacrifices I've made are blessing our
area so much and I just see the Lords hand guiding us to his children.
I hope you all have a good week! Please pray of our zone goal of 10
baptisms. We know that this goal can be achieved with a lot of faith
and prayers. Thanks everyone.

July 5th
Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic week with the fourth of July! I was
only able to see a few fireworks on my way home last night so I wasn't
able to do anything yesterday for the 4th. This week was a little
crazy but a lot of exciting stuff happened!
It was the last week of the transfer and so everyone was trying to
figure out where everyone was gonna go for transfers. We learned how
to make Papusas at the part member families house the Andasol's. It
was so much fun and I'm glad that I learned how to make them! We also
went to Hermano Solorzano's Birthday party which was really fun. That
night we received our transfer call!
On Thursday and Friday my companion Hermana Woodbury got super sick
and so the end of Thursday we stayed home and just chilled and
canceled our appointments and our dinner. Then Friday she was feeling
a little better so we went to service at Food Bank but that just made
her worse. So we came back and president told her that she has to stay
home for the rest of the day. So Friday we just chilled at home and
did nothing really. It was weird not doing anything for a change. I
was a good nurse to her though trying to take care of her haha❤️
We had a lesson with our investigator Jose Trinidad who's on date for
baptism on the 9th. We did the baptismal interview questions with him
and pretty much he says he doesn't want to change. He has a problem
with the word of wisdom and the law of chastity still. He hasn't
really been keeping our commitments and still feels like he doesn't
know enough to be baptized even though he's been taught since last
August! He's been taught all the lessons. So we released him and it
was sad of course but we knew it was the best decision for him for
now. We might try to see him later on in the future maybe. He was the
only one on date for us this month and so we are really going to try
hard to help our other progressing investigators get baptized this
month! I truly hope that our investigators see how important and
special this covenant is. Our zone goal of 10 baptisms this month WILL
happen! I know it and I have the faith that it can happen for sure!
So yesterday, the 4th of July, we had transfers. My companion Hermana
Woodbury is gone and is in North Sacramento shotgunning! I'm still
here in Rancho Cordova and my new companion is Hermana Justiniano from
Argentina! She's so sweet and really funny! I love her already. ❤️ I
know that we are gonna work well together this transfer for sure. I
know the Lord has put us together for a reason...one being to help me
with my Spanish😆😊
The language is coming easier to me every day. Sometimes I'm
speechless when I realized that I can understand and speak the Spanish
language. I love this culture and I'm so lucky to be in this mission
with such great people! Our members are awesome and are willing to
help out! I hope you all have a great week! Please pray for Cesely and
Amaris, Elsa and Manuel and that they'll accept the gospel and accept
the invitation to be baptized this month. Thank you so much for all
you do! Love you!
Con amor,
Hermana Scott
