Well, this week was full of great things. One of them being General Conference. It's so weird to think that my next email is going to be in the mission field. I have enjoyed my time here at the CCM so much and I've learned a lot in the past 6 weeks. Time is seriously going by so fast. I love it and don't at the same time.
Last Wednesday on p-day it was more relaxed. We didn't have to go anywhere or anything...we just took our time with stuff. Best part was probably taking a 2 hour nap...seriously so great. We try to get as much sleep as possible here haha. I also had my audition to sing at a devotional on Wednesday and I'm singing "I know that my redeemer lives" this Sunday during a devotional :) I hope it turns out good. Thursday was good. We had our weekly TRC and we got to teach Gloria again with her daughter who is inactive. We also taught an 18 year old girl and she was really great. I love TRC because you get to talk to actual people and not just your teachers pretending to be investigators lol. Also, me and my companion got into our first fight that night. She wasn't feeling well and just ignored me so Friday was really awkward at first but we had some miscommunication i guess. Friday when we taught our teacher Herm. Alonso who plays Hilda, the spirit was so strong. Me and Herm. Jones just bawled and then Hilda started to cry too. We both said things that we never ever say in our lessons...it was the gift of tongues that was blessing us in that lesson I'm sure. We also played some volleyball with one of our favorite districts 13B. They're really great and we talk to them all the time.
Saturday and Sunday were both really wonderful days and the spirit here at the CCM was so strong. It was nice to have a break and just really focus on the gospel. I enjoyed every minute of General Conference. There's too many talks to pick a favorite, but I noticed that they talked a lot about families and marriage. Which won't apply to me till after the mish but it was still nice to hear. We also got to watch the Women's conference from a few weekends ago. We also got to go to bed early Saturday night because the clocks changed here in Mexico on Sunday.
Sunday nights are always great because we watch a little farewell photo video of the districts that leave that week. You take various photos, including one of the district walking in unison with the beautiful view of Mexico in the background. Our district took our pic this week on Monday. It's so weird to think that this Sunday will be our farewell to everyone. I won't get those pics till next week so I'll make sure to add them in next p-day :) Sunday nights we also watch a movie and this time we watched Meet the Mormons. I was excited because I actually never got the chance to see it so I enjoyed it a lot.
Monday night we said goodbye to Hermana Carey and Hermana Brooks who were in our zone. They were district 12C. I love them so much they are gonna do so great in the mission field :) Tuesday was chill...just had pizza night like always and a devotional which was pretty good.
My email is much later today because we went to the temple around 8 this morning. I'll add some pics we took there. It was our last time to go together and it was so spiritual. Our teacher Hermano De Santiago came with us too. Also, the Mexico City Temple is the 4th largest temple in the world...so now I can say I've been there haha. I love this temple it's so beautiful. Hope you all have a wonderful week! I will see you next week and tell you about how I feel about the mission field and how Sacramento is going. Love you all and thanks for the support! Mucho amor.
Hermana Scott
